The SDI 12 and the SDI 12 II feature a 12 inch touch screen in a sleek-looking and sturdy enclosure. The screen angle can be adjusted by rotating the hinged rear leg. These consoles run GT software and provide the user with 4 pages of 24 line keys (96 total). Design features include a handset cradle, blue ringing/alert indicator light, and two multi-purpose optical encoder knobs. An integrated 20W speaker provides ample volume even in high background noise environments. There are two headset jacks in the body of the console with an option for two more jacks using an external jack box. The single color SDI-12 is an “all-in-one” design with all components inside one enclosure. The red/black SDI-12 II consists of a headend display/control unit (same as pictured above) coupled with a SDAP. The SDAP can be mounted separately (e.g. under the desk) and connect to the headend with a CAT5e cable up to 150’ in length. A VESA-mount adapter is available for the display unit. The SDI-12 and SDI-12 II connect to the MVP switch over an IP network or using a T1 line and KTMX.
