Compunetix Expands Chinese and Asia-Pac Regional Support

Yi Yin, a Customer Service Engineer who has been with Compunetix for 2 years, is now leaving Pittsburgh and heading to Beijing, China. Yi and 3 other engineers in the Communications Systems Division (CSD) of Customer Service speak fluent Mandarin and are able to properly support our customers in China in their native language. However, the 12 hour time difference between Pittsburgh and Beijing makes communicating very difficult for both the customers and engineers. With the move of Yi to Beijing, customers will now be able to contact a Customer Service Engineer, who understands their needs at their convenience, and within their own time zone.

Collaboration is still in the early stages and only 10 licenses are available for telecommunication companies to provide audio conferencing services. Of these 10 licensees, 5 are customers of Compunetix. Compunetix currently has thousands of ports of CONTEX Summit® conferencing in use throughout China, which will continue to increase as the demand for conferencing equipment grows.

Yi will accompany our sales representatives in China, Raymond Cheung and Sonia Soo, on visits to prospective customers, and provide technical support and insight into the equipment design.

We are excited to have Yi in Beijing, where her knowledge of the Compunetix Summit hardware and software will allow her to help customers in China and provide conferencing services to meet their growing needs.
